Why I Love This Opportunity

Luke Francis

Associate

For the leader passionate about Groups Ministry, the Groups Minister role at The Church at Avenue South offers a ministry opportunity to strengthen a core part of the church’s ministry offerings in an intergenerational, urban context. The Church at Avenue South has recently opened a new building in a location where they can more fully engage their members and neighbors, and have the space to do the ministry God has called them to do. This church is marked by a “let’s do this together” and artistic spirit that matches the city of Nashville, TN. It is a tightly knit team with engaging worship through song and a humble and highly motivated Campus & Teaching Pastor. If God has wired you towards being on a team that is eager to engage the present and excited to dream about what’s next, this role could be for you.

About This Organization

Located in Nashville, TN, The Church at Avenue South is a regional campus of Brentwood Baptist Church. Its attendance is approximately 500 each Sunday across its two worship service times.

Launched in 2014 as Brentwood’s second regional plant and led by Aaron Bryant, The Church at Avenue South contextualizes the larger Brentwood Baptist Church mission to engage the whole person with the whole gospel of Jesus Christ anywhere, anytime, with anybody. With Aaron’s leadership, you will find a deep desire for growth and development, collaboration, clear expectations, and seeing leaders step up to the challenge that God has offered over their lives. Aaron strives to create a team-based environment that is enjoyable, safe, affirming, and that empowers people to carry out their responsibilities. As a former athlete, he makes it a priority to coach his team and help them grow to use their unique calling both in and beyond the walls of the gathered church.

All campuses function under the governance of Brentwood Baptist. Each campus is an established entity operating as a whole and permanent part of the Brentwood Baptist. Each maintains pre-determined alignment characteristics that uphold the Brentwood Baptist “DNA” while also containing some contextualized characteristics to allow it to best reach its target local community. The Church at Avenue South is a church that has robust ministry offerings that prioritize making disciples who make disciples across generations. In turn, The Church at Avenue South is a church that is positioned to help engage your whole family in all of life’s seasons.
