I love the passion and mission of Greenford Christian Church and its focus to move beyond the walls of the weekend services and into the community of Greenford and surrounding communities. In addition to consistent preaching and teaching, GCC equips Christ-followers to live on mission at home, at work, and in the community. There is also a tremendous ministry to the last, least, and lost locally and globally at GCC. The Austintown Campus Pastor will get the opportunity to implement the ministry and DNA of GCC to impact the community of Austintown and beyond.
Greenford Christian Church was founded in 1831 and has a rich history in northeast Ohio of impact in their local community and worldwide. GCC is a healthy, growing, and thriving church. They were featured (pre-covid) as one of Outreach Magazine’s 100 fastest-growing churches. Today on a typical Sunday at GCC, 2,000+ people attend multiple campuses. The heartbeat of GCC is to make disciples of Jesus who make disciples of Jesus and live on mission in the community, neighborhoods, and the workplace.
The church is debt-free, and their Greenford Campus sits on a 66-acres with significant buildings on site. This financial freedom enables the church leaders to focus on ministry, missions, and Kingdom expansion.
People from several surrounding towns have chosen to make GCC their church home, demonstrating the attractive nature of the church and the effectiveness of reaching unconnected people.
The primary purpose of this position is to lead the Austintown Campus of Greenford Christian Church. The Campus Pastor serves as the leader of the Austintown Campus by providing vision, oversight, pastoral care, and shepherding. He will work under the guidance of the organization’s senior leadership team and Eldership to ensure growth, health, and alignment with GCC’s vision, mission, values, and beliefs.
