Grace Bible Church

Executive Pastor

La Vernia, Texas

Why I Love This Opportunity

Chris Lagerlof

Senior Associate

God is up to something special at Grace Bible Church. The church has grown close to 40% over the last few years, and more growth is coming as the area of La Vernia continues to grow, and Grace Bible Church launches its first campus in the next couple of months.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Executive Pastor to step into a great church to provide oversight to all of the major ministries of the church by helping to lead and champion the various ministry leaders. This person will be given great latitude in the ministry approach and strategy as they help the team execute the vision the senior pastor and elders established.

This is a season of significant opportunity in the life of this church, and the Executive Pastor will be a crucial piece in unlocking the full potential of this thriving church!

About This Organization

Grace Bible Church of La Vernia was launched in the Fall of 1997. For eight years, the church met in various locations as it grew. In Fall 2005, the congregation moved into its new building at our current location. In April of 2006, Pastor Erin and his wife joined the pastoral staff as Associate Pastor. After the Senior Pastor stepped down in January of 2008, the Elders asked Pastor Erin to lead the church as the Senior Pastor. Pastor Erin accepted and has served as Senior Pastor ever since.

When Pastor Erin accepted the position in 2008, the average worship service was 250 people. Since 2008, the church has grown to a current average worship service of 900 people, 300 in Kids Ministry (birth – 5th grade), and 120 Students (6th-12th grade). To accommodate the growth over the years, the church added a classroom, foyer, and office space in Fall 2017.

From August 2019 (before COVID) to August 2022, the church has grown 39%. To accommodate for the growth, Grace Bible Church launched a Saturday evening service and has already identified a second campus location with plans to launch that campus in August of 2023.

God has been moving in powerful ways through Grace Bible Church, and the best is yet to come!
