Why I Love This Opportunity

Keith Twigg

Senior Associate

This team, this church, and this community make this position opportunity one of the most exciting and intriguing in the United States! This role provides all the ingredients for a successful, vibrant tenure of ministry for the right leader.

About This Organization

Fruit Cove Baptist Church can trace its roots back to 1978 when a group of people began meeting in a local home for Bible study. Very soon, the house was outgrown, so the group relocated to a local fire station. That group of people had the vision and foresight to see a need for a new church in the Fruit Cove community and eventually purchased land on State Road 13. Southside Baptist Church in Jacksonville (now Aspire Church) was the sponsoring church for this new group that eventually became Fruit Cove Baptist Church. As this part of NW, St Johns County has grown, the church has grown with it.

For over 40 years now, Fruit Cove has preached Jesus to St. Johns County, and the church has seen blessing after blessing as lives have been continually transformed through the ministries of the church. Fruit Cove currently sees an average of almost 1,400 people come together each weekend to sing praise to Christ and to learn from His Word. Fruit Cove currently has over 20 staff members, including seven pastors and facilities spanning 100,000 square feet. They have a weekday preschool with over 200 children, only 25% of which are part of Fruit Cove families. They sponsor and/or support hundreds of foster families in St. Johns County. They also own 10 acres of land in a fast-growing community 15 miles south of their current church facilities. 70% of their congregation is currently enrolled in a small group.
