Key Responsibilities
- Execute the vision of the Lead Pastor and Elders across all ministry areas.
- Lead, coach, and develop ministry staff, campus pastors, and key leaders.
- Foster a healthy, collaborative, and high-accountability staff culture.
- Build organizational alignment, systems, and processes that support ministry effectiveness.
- Champion leadership development and create pathways for multiplying leaders.
- Provide strategic oversight and support for ministry planning and execution.
- Establish clear goals, priorities, and measures of success across ministries.
- Remove obstacles and solve organizational challenges that hinder ministry.
- Partner closely with the Executive Director of Operations to ensure ministries and operations work together effectively.
- Serve as a key member of the Executive Team, helping shape the future direction of First Church while maintaining its relational, disciple-making culture.
Key Qualifications
- Strong alignment with Restoration Movement theology, including baptism by immersion and weekly communion.
- Proven experience leading leaders, not just managing teams.
- Executive-level leadership experience in a church or similarly complex organization.
- Demonstrated success developing staff, coaching leaders, and building healthy teams.
- Experience implementing vision through strategy, systems, and execution.
- Humble, relational, servant-hearted leader with a low ego.
- Excellent communication skills, able to speak both grace and truth.
- Solution-oriented with strong initiative and sound judgment.
- Comfortable giving and receiving accountability.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent leadership experience.
- Multi-site ministry experience preferred.
- Thrives in a collaborative, high-trust, second-chair leadership role.
