First Baptist Church Venice is in an idyllic and picturesque part of southwest Florida. With a rich history, vast resources, and a vision for the future, FBC is poised for significant growth in the days ahead. For the right candidate, this opportunity represents the chance to do incredible ministry and live life in an incredible part of the country.
Established in 1934, First Baptist Church of Venice, Florida, has been a light for the Gospel near historic downtown Venice for decades. Through the years, the church has prioritized ministry, missions, and evangelism.
In addition to the original downtown campus, FBC Venice also has the Lakefront Campus. With more than 21 acres, the church is finalizing construction plans for a new multi-purpose facility to reach those in the surrounding areas. This expansion is simply another example of how the people of FBC Venice have a “do whatever it takes” mentality to reach those around them. All of this while remaining debt-free!
For the right candidate, FBC Venice offers a place to grow as a pastor, leader, and musician. With a rich history of musical excellence, the new Worship Pastor will find many highly skilled volunteer musicians and a deep bench of paid professionals to work with. The next leader will prioritize growing the choir, developing the orchestra, and working with children’s and youth choirs. With a large population of retirees, the new Worship Pastor will emphasize creating ministry opportunities for both young and old. The right person will have a passion for recruiting volunteers, dreaming up new ministry initiatives, and reaching people in creative ways. Pastor Tom and the staff have a heart to reach the next generation. The new Worship Pastor will undoubtedly want to support this initiative through creative ministries to children and students. A passion for musical variety will be important, as worship experiences feature adult choirs, orchestras, children’s choirs, and more.
