St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church (NALC) of Grove City, Ohio, a suburb of Columbus, is a vibrant, growing, multi-generational church with a rooted history in children’s, youth, and family ministry. This biblically grounded congregation of ~300 people is deeply committed to following Jesus Christ together, equipping anyone toward active faith that is relational, practical, and impactful as part of God’s kingdom mission. St. John’s celebrated 175 years as a church in 2024, and its disciple-equipping, God-worshipping, people-serving journey is still boldly moving forward to reach people of all ages in the name of Jesus in the Midwest and beyond.
St. John’s is building on its 40 year focus on multi-generational ministry by bring on a full-time Family Ministry Director. This individual needs to be passionate about the next generation, a proven relational leader-of-leaders and ministry team builder, and an effective developer of others as disciples and ministers. They will be responsible for leading, administrating, and coordinating the youth ministries primarily to grades 7 through 12 while building relationships with all ages of youth within the church, as well as providing direction to part-time leadership responsible for children’s ministry up to grade 6. They should also be able to facilitate a team of adult volunteers, with year-round events and programming. The Family Ministry Director is a big role with big potential to enhance and expand a well-established, engaging ministry.
