Key Responsibilities
- Partners with Lead Pastor on sermon series architecture, preparation, and implementation
- Preaches/teaches approximately 20+ Sunday sermons per year
- Oversees and leads the Teaching Team, as directed by Lead Pastor
- Creates systems to develop current teachers and expand the pool of new, qualified teachers across various areas of ministry
- Assesses, develops, implements church-wide teaching and spiritual formation strategies in cooperation with other Shepherd Team members
- Continually researches and analyzes our congregation (social, racial, ethnic, etc.) to effectively apply Biblical teaching in relevant ways
- Officiates/participates in weddings, funerals, and general shepherding responsibilities across ministries

- Mature and growing relationship with Jesus Christ

PROFESSIONAL
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree from an accredited seminary or school of theology preferred)
- Ordained or willing to pursue Evangelical Free Church of America credentialing
- Five years of pastoral experience
- Excellent preaching/delivery skills
- Knowledge and understanding of scriptures and theology
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Solid writing ability
- Passion for serving the church
