I love this opportunity for a few reasons. First, Highlands is in a position of growth and health. This person is stepping into a staff and church culture that has learned what it takes to be healthy and to protect that health. Second, it’s perfect for someone who wants to continue developing their leadership capabilities while leading a hungry and enthusiastic staff.
Planted in 1946, Highlands is a non-denominational, multi-generational church on the eastside of Seattle committed to helping people find and follow Jesus. Highlands is passionate about bringing the hope and healing of the gospel to our broken world. An emphasis on teaching the Scriptures, investing in future generations, and prioritizing global missions has always been central to the church’s DNA. In recent years, the church is focused on cultivating a healthy church culture and is experiencing new growth. It’s an exciting time of dreaming and seeking God’s vision for the church in this next season.
The Executive Pastor of Ministries will help bring alignment and strategy to the staff and ministries of Highlands. This person will be responsible for investing in the staff, coaching leaders, and helping bring goals and healthy growth to the ministries. This person will report directly to the Lead Pastor and be a part of a leadership team that helps to lead the mission of the church forward.
