Pastor Alan is an inspirational leader that champions a compelling, high impact vision for the church to follow Jesus in a diverse community on the north side of Pittsburgh. Under his leadership, the church has thrived and is poised for growth and even greater community transformation.Transitioning to a more collaborative leadership model is well underway. This is an opportunity to collaborate and develop strategies in a high potential context while mentoring a passionate staff to higher levels of excellence.
In 2020, Pastor Alan Hannah became ACAC’s eighth lead pastor and under his leadership ACAC has revitalized its ministry, embracing diversity, and community engagement, with a renewed focus on urban outreach. In 2023, ACAC became “one church in two locations” as we opened our campus in the Steel Valley area of Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh is home to 300,000 residents within the city borders and is part of a Western Pennsylvania metropolitan area of 2 million. Its heart is The Point, where the Allegheny and Monongahela rivers meet to form the Ohio River. Within blocks of the church are Heinz Field, PNC Park, the Carnegie Science Center and the Andy Warhol museum. ACAC is a healthy congregation that is not just about the weekend. There is as much going on during the week as there is on any Saturday or Sunday! Our facilities are in use 15 hours a day, seven days a week. There is an everyday vibrancy on our campus that is rare for the modern church.
The Executive Pastor is responsible for the overall leadership and direction of the Adult, Young Adult, Students, Kids, Missions, and Counseling ministry teams leading those areas in the accomplishment of ACAC’s mission and vision. This role requires a combination of strong leadership, organizational skills, and a deep commitment to spiritual growth and community engagement. The Executive Pastor also ensures the DNA and values of ACAC are modeled to staff, congregation, and community. They will instill a positive, can do attitude and empowers others with responsibility and authority, while facilitating cohesive big picture and cross-departmental strategies, and building a culture of collaboration deep into the organization.
