Executive Pastor

The Executive Pastor is responsible for the overall leadership and direction of the Adult, Young Adult, Students, Kids, Missions, and Counseling ministry teams leading those areas in the accomplishment of ACAC’s mission and vision. This role requires a combination of strong leadership, organizational skills, and a deep commitment to spiritual growth and community engagement. The Executive Pastor also ensures the DNA and values of ACAC are modeled to staff, congregation, and community. They will instill a positive, can do attitude and empowers others with responsibility and authority, while facilitating cohesive big picture and cross-departmental strategies, and building a culture of collaboration deep into the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supports the Lead Pastor in the accomplishment of ACAC’s mission through ministry effectiveness evaluation, discernment, decision making, planning, and overall direction of ministry staff.
• In collaboration with the Executive Director, facilitate the annual strategic planning process including evaluation of ministry and operational performance; review of mission, vision, and core values; development of key objectives and tactics, and establishment of shared goals.
• Develops and executes church-wide volunteer engagement program.
• Guides ministry leaders in formulating and prioritizing strategic plans and related annual budgets.
• With the Executive Director, establish and maintain a set of key performance indicators that provide the Lead Pastor, leadership team, and governing boards with ongoing visibility of the effectiveness of all functional areas of the church.
• Provides Executive team representation at Board of Operations meetings.
• Establishes and maintains a culture of professional development.
• Fosters lasting relationships among other churches.
