Executive Pastor

Life Stream is a growing church in the community of Allendale, MI, and we are looking for a high impact and experienced Executive Pastor to join our Dream Team. The Executive Pastor provides leadership, in partnership with the Lead Pastor, to ensure effective ministry alignment within the framework of the mission, vision, core values, and goals of Life Stream Church. The Executive Pastor is responsible for the daily management of the church, providing leadership and coaching to the staff Dream Team. Key Responsibilities:

• Accountable for the successful creation, along with Lead Pastor, and implementation of the strategic plan of the church
• Develop and maintain the organizational structure, systems and processes needed for current and future stages of growth
• Mentor and shepherd staff and lead ministry leaders by providing support, supervision and coaching as well as maintaining a comprehensive training and development plan
• Oversee the annual Ministry Planning Process and manage revenue projections and expenditures in collaboration with the Finance Coordinator
• Oversee the development of yearly operation budget in cooperation with Lead Pastor and Lead Staff and oversee an active finance team
• Perform general pastoral responsibilities alongside the other pastoral staff, including weddings, funerals, baptisms, hospital visitations, and pastoral counseling
• Serve in an advisory role on the Local Board of Elders and ensure the church operates within the guiding principles

What a Strong Candidate Would Look Like:

• They are passionate about their calling, their work, and the ministry potential at Life Stream, including a calling to serve in the second chair
• Experience and understanding of the operations and administrative side of ministry, such as HR, lease agreements, facilities oversight, and budget and finances
• Skilled in developing processes and systems that create clarity and ministry alignment
• A proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans to translate vision into actionable steps for staff, volunteers, and church members
• A tactful yet direct peacemaker who proactively engages in conflict resolution, maintains awareness of staff dynamics, addresses issues before they escalate, keeps leadership informed, and navigates relationships with wisdom and discretion
• Strongly support and champion women in all roles in the church, and has an openness to the ministry of the Holy Spirit
