East Campus Worship Leader

The Compassion East campus is an exciting place to do life and ministry. With an average attendance of around 1000 people each weekend, this campus healthy, hungry, and ready! The members of Compassion East are commited to worship that is genuine and God-honoring. The new Campus Worship Pastor will have the opportunity to join the existing team to lead, shepherd, disciple, and direct. The team is full of high-capacity and talented volunteers who are ready for a new leader to join them. As a member of the larger, multi-site worship team, you will have access to mentors, resources, and community unique to a larger church community such as Compassion. Both inovative and tenacious, the new leader will have a bold calling to lead, shepherd, and pastor in addition to being an excellent musician. The right candidate will have exceptional vocal skills, be a genuine worshipper, and have experience leading congregational worship at a high level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out the objectives of the Vision & Strategy Team and model a collaborative team mindset.
• Lead the Worship Ministry of the Campus, developing individuals and teams, and overseeing worship services and venues for all worship environments (Adults, College, Students…).
• Collaborate with other Compassion campuses to ensure alignment and consistency.
• Continue collaborating with the Central Worship Pastor for Major Events (NLLC, Praise Services, Journey, etc…) as time permits.
• Develop the Volunteer Worship Culture of the Campus Worship Ministry (vocalist, musicians, production, worship choir, major events), including discipling serve team members.
• Assist the Campus Pastor in evaluating campus facilities and contribute to long-range planning.
• Support the Campus Pastor in areas where their strengths complement weaknesses.

What a Strong Candidate Would Look Like:

• Experience leading contemporary, relevant worship.
• A Bachelorʼs Degree from an accredited institution; a degree from an accredited Bible College with a major in biblical studies or related field preferred. Consideration will be given to candidates having experience and demonstrated proficiency in the field.
• Must be able to effectively schedule and lead rehearsals, organize and lead service planning sessions as directed, and share in the leading of weekend worship in various venues, as assigned.
• Excellent vocal skills, as well as proficiency in leading worship while playing a musical instrument.
• Candidate must be tried and proven in ministry and have a passion for sharing Jesus.
• Excellent interpersonal relational skills while maintaining and protecting confidentiality.
