I’m excited to work with Discovery Church because God is doing something special in this community. There’s a lot of vision, an incredible staff, and an excitement to see the Kingdom of God advanced in the greater Tulsa area.
Discovery Church was founded in 1913 by a group of German farmers who migrated here to avoid fighting in wars. Discovery operates autonomously and independently while still being in affiliated with the Mennonite Brethren Church in a small way.
Discovery church has existed for over 100 years and left an incredible mark on this community. Discovery played an instrumental role in launching a free medical clinic in the community (Arubah Medical Clinic) and was the founding home of Project Hope Worldwide, a holistic ministry that cares for orphans and the most vulnerable in multiple countries worldwide.
Discovery loves to partner with people who dream, seek the Holy Spirit, and make a difference in the life of this community. More important than what has been done, God is honored here, and Jesus is lifted. They desire to be a church that God delights in and uses to accomplish his purposes here on earth. This is a church where families can find healing and parents can be equipped to raise their kids to know and love Jesus and others. This community desires to be filled with the Holy Spirit and live empowered lives for the Kingdom of God. The Worship Pastor at Discovery Church will lead the Worship Ministry at the church, developing leaders, creating culture, and fostering an excellent environment where the people of God can encounter the Presence of God.
