Why I Love This Opportunity

Brian Nelson

Associate

Centerpoint was such an amazing place to visit! There is ministry to be done in Sioux Center. The city was beautiful, with new schools and tons of growth. The church is a huge building in the middle of town. Staff is healthy and very focused on vision. I really loved the pastors leading this place. Overall, it’s a great area to raise a family and do some incredible Kingdom work. Plus an awesome worship team is already in place. Come check it out!

About This Organization

Centerpoint Church is an incredible church with a rich heritage. The story began in 1877, when a few brave women and men opened the doors to reach a community for Jesus. Since then, Centerpoint has reached thousands with the good news! Today, it’s a two-campus church reaching 500 people on the weekends. They’re looking to launch more campuses in the years ahead, in hopes of reaching all the communities around Sioux Center. They attract young families while maintaining a large number of multi-generational families. Their staff culture is extremely healthy and their leadership is strong.

Centerpoint’s vision is to reach young families and beyond, with Gospel-centered truth for the head and heart, that impacts lives and transforms their communities for Christ. They are especially mindful of those who are new to their communities and/or far from Jesus.

Worship is a key component of all they do and they’re looking for someone to lead their team. To lead their church to God’s throne. Keep reading and learn about this amazing opportunity!

Position Description

The Director of Worship position is truly set up for success. There is already a great team of volunteers leading Centerpoint’s two campuses on a weekly basis. They have tons of talent and great systems in place. They need a leader. They need someone who will serve alongside their staff and lead the volunteers. Someone who listens well, loves well, and cares about the mission of the church.

They are a passionate group of people, who are working hard to reach Sioux Center and its surrounding communities with the good news. Centerpoint strives for 8 out of 10 or better in everything they do. This means they care deeply about excellence, but understand how perfectionism can be a slippery slope.

They have fully transitioned to modern worship. They’re looking to the Director of Worship to empower and equip a talented pool of volunteers to serve with joy. They want someone who is good at developing volunteers in their area of giftedness, and then empowering and equipping them to serve at both their Sioux Center and Hawarden campuses.

The next leader will love Jesus and love people. She/he will be committed to the mission/vision/values of the church and also engage fully as a member of the staff and their shared values: fun-loving attitude, love, integrity, grit, honor, and team. The biggest opportunity will be in raising up leaders who will create a bullpen to help them get to a third, fourth, and fifth campus.
