Position Description

Reporting to the President & CEO, the Director of Development (DD) will be responsible for enhancing the organizational capacity that will allow Accessible Hope International to continue to grow and expand its mission and vision through fundraising and partnership development. In order for Accessible Hope International to move forward successfully, developing donor acquisition and major donor strategies is essential. This opportunity aims to ensure that our remarkable history is supported by strong financial strategies toward the programmatic growth we are experiencing and a deep commitment to collaboration and excellence in sustaining and growing our mission.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, Execute, and Report on the Annual Fundraising Plan
  • Oversee fundraising processes by managing major donor cultivation, acquisition, and care; growing the A-Team, our monthly giving program, and overseeing grant acquisition, writing, and reporting
  • Provide leadership to the planning and implementation of the annual Luke 14 Feast and other fundraising events
  • Build financial partnerships with churches in collaboration with the Accessible Hope International team
  • Work closely with the CEO on donor relationship maintenance and growth while cultivating relationships with major donors through regular communication and visits as necessary
  • Work with our design coordinator to develop Accessible Hope International branded marketing materials for promotions
  • Work with the Communications Coordinator to layout a yearly communication plan that links both programming and development communication across all channels
  • Cast vision for the spirituality of fundraising and transformational giving among donors and staff team

 

What a Strong Candidate Would Look Like:

  • Heart, passion, and calling for ministry with a strong, vibrant relationship with Christ and applied comprehension of the Gospel in a wholistic manner
  • Flexible and able to hold tension; can work within a frequently ambiguous, fast-moving environment while also driving toward clarity and solutions; demonstrates resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding investment in people and systems
  • Views fundraising as discipleship in the Great Commission with the goal of personal transformation for the giver
  • Skills should include some of the following – organizational development, budget and resource development, strategic planning, demonstrated success in developing and monitoring systems to manage both operational and programmatic work that involves high levels of collaboration, ability to invite others to invest in God’s work globally confidently
  • Demonstrated experience in financial planning and analysis with previous experience managing human, financial, and material resources
