Crossroads is a church passionate about seeing Jesus impact lives across all its seven campuses and beyond! The right Campus and teaching Pastor will not only find a team and ministry ready to run but they will also be blessed to do so in one of the most scenic, historic towns in all the Midwest.
On the cutting edge of ministry being done as “one church in multiple locations,” Crossroads currently has seven campuses in the Northern Illinois-Southern Wisconsin area, and they are passionate about working together in reaching and serving people who live in a rural context with the message of the Gospel. Currently (post-COVID), Crossroads averages a combined total attendance of approximately 1225 in these services. The Freeport Campus serves as the “Central” Campus. The campuses span as far west as Galena and east to Sycamore. The furthest south campus is in Morrison, IL, and CCC has a campus as far north as Monroe, WI.
Crossroads Church believes God has called them to help transform rural communities for Christ’s cause. They are a Spirit-filled, non-denominational church, progressive in their worship and methodology while conservative in theology. They trust that God has a deep and lasting work to do in all people and want to see the fruit of that in their impact on the communities and people that surround them.
Crossroads celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2019. They have been at their current location in Freeport since 1983 and have had five lead pastors serve over the past 50 years. The church was founded with a vision to serve and reach their community. This vision is foundational to why they decided to move to multi-site beginning in 2004. They had people driving from neighboring communities, sometimes 45 minutes or more, to be a part of what God was doing in Freeport. They currently have people from over 100 communities who regularly attend their seven campuses. The seven campuses and their start dates are Freeport (1969), Polo (2004), Galena (2006), Monroe (2006), Morrison (2009), Winnebago (2011) and Sycamore (2012).
Working under the leadership of the Lead Pastor, the Campus & Teaching Pastor provides overall leadership for a specific campus of Crossroads Community Church. He functions as the embodiment and primary communicator of the Lead Pastor’s vision at the local level. The Campus Pastor is responsible for leading other leaders on the campus, whether they are paid or volunteer.
