Discipleship Pastor

The Discipleship Pastor at Crosspoint Church oversees and implements strategies and tactics to grow disciples utilizing Sunday LIFE groups, home groups, and mid-week growth groups. Oversees and implements First Impression ministries from first visit to membership in the church.

Key Responsibilities:

Education Responsibilities

• Equipping and management of the LIFE Group Ministry.
• Enlistment of volunteers for all educational roles. Equipping/training of volunteers to include
  regular meetings, encouragement and training events.
• Weekly supervision and accountability of the LIFE Group functions and space.
• Design and execute an outreach and follow up ministry for prospects and class members.
• Start new LIFE Groups and develop needed space for groups.
• Approve all substitute LIFE Group teachers.
• Develop and implement Discipleship and First Impressions budget.
• Develop and oversee the Adult Discipleship Ministry to equip adults with a thorough knowledge of God’s Word with the life and ministry skills needed to be a fully functioning member of God’s church.

First Impressions Responsibilities

• Enlisting, coordinating, training, and scheduling greeters and ushers for Sunday and special
  services.
• Designing and implementing a physical space where guests are welcomed and informed.
• Facilitate and staff monthly Entry Point classes.
• Develop and implement a follow up system for guests.

General Duties

• Perform pastoral care as needed to members of the church and community.
• Support and implement the vision of the senior pastor and elders.
