The Couples Group Ministry Director at Preston Trail Community Church is an opportunity for a group-minded leader to love and serve couples by helping them locate an authentic community!
Preston Trail Community Church was started 21 years ago by longtime friends Paul Basden and Jim Johnson. Both served as senior pastors of large denominational churches in the Southeast then. Jim and Paul, both native Texans and Baylor University graduates, felt called back to their home states to reach people who were far from God. With no support, no congregation, and no guarantees, they took a leap of faith and relocated their families to the growing city of Frisco, Texas.
At the time, Frisco was a small town of 35,000, and Preston Trail gathered for its first few years in an AMC movie theatre. The early days of Preston Trail focused on children’s ministry and creating a welcoming space where the appearance of a perfect life was not a prerequisite for attending church. Today, that same emphasis is just as evident at Preston Trail as in the beginning.
