Responsiblities
- Staff Collaboration: Work alongside other staff members to execute ministry tasks at Cottage Grove, while embracing and supporting the church’s mission, vision, values, and participating in church activities including Sunday services and Connection Groups
- Worship Leadership: Shepherd the church family in living a life of worship both inside and outside the building, leading with theological conviction based on God’s Word while discipling and developing team members to flourish in their current and future role
- Service Planning: Lead and design musical and creative content for weekend worship services and coordinate special event programming, working closely with the Lead Pastor to support the message and preaching
- Musical Direction: Create and lead weekend and special event worship music as the primary worship leader (35-45 weekends per year), while developing the worship team’s technical musical abilities and directing the band both instrumentally and vocally
- Technical Oversight: Provide oversight for all volunteers handling technical aspects of audio and video production for worship services and live streaming, ensuring standards of excellence are followed and maintained through proper training
- Budget Management: Develop and manage a ministry budget based on the needs of both the worship ministry and the church as a whole
- Cross-Departmental Coordination; Work in partnership with the Communications Lead to ensure graphics, videos, and coordination of service elements are properly prepared and executed
