Compass Christian Church

Worship Pastor

Chandler,
Arizona
The Worship Pastor for the Chandler Campus will shepherd and lead the worship culture at Compass through excellent musicianship, relational leadership, collaborative creativity, and a heart for spiritual formation. This role serves as a key member of the Creative Arts team and oversees worship leaders, the music director, and next-gen worship development. Compass values a co-leader worship model—this Pastor will typically lead 2–3 of the 4 worship songs each weekend, sharing leadership with staff and volunteer worship leaders. The Ministry is known for high volunteer engagement, strong development pathways, and an established original songwriting presence through We Are Compass Worship. The new worship center has a state of the art recording studio, and it’s like icing on the cake for this already fantastic opportunity. The Worship Pastor will work closely with the Creative Arts Director, Production Director, and Senior Pastor to shape cohesive, compelling weekend experiences that flow seamlessly from worship to sermon. While the church plans worship and series far in advance, leadership is eager to infuse fresh creativity, increased dynamics, and greater flexibility into the weekend experience.

Why I Love This Opportunity

This is the kind of role where a gifted worship pastor can genuinely thrive—personally, creatively, and spiritually. Compass is healthy, united, well-led, and genuinely excited about the future. The staff culture is warm, collaborative, and emotionally safe, and the Senior Pastor is deeply invested in worship as a core part of the weekend experience.

The new Worship Pastor will inherit strong volunteer teams, talented vocalists, a beautiful campus, and a church that loves to worship. At the same time, there is real openness to new ideas, fresh approaches, and creative momentum. For the right leader—one who combines musical excellence with humility, spiritual depth, and a collaborative spirit—this role offers both stability and the chance to shape a worship culture for years to come.
