Community Church

Campus Pastor

St. Simons Island,
Georgia
The Campus Pastor provides spiritual, pastoral, and directional leadership for the St. Simons Island campus of Community Church. As the primary shepherd and local leader, this role champions the church’s vision while leading and developing campus staff, cultivating authentic community, and ensuring impactful weekend experiences. The Campus Pastor builds healthy teams, drives discipleship and assimilation, and serves as a relational presence in both the congregation and the broader community. This is a leadership-forward role requiring a team builder with warmth, clarity, and conviction — someone who equips others, fosters unity, and models a daily walk with Jesus while guiding a thriving campus into its next season of impact.

Why We Love This Opportunity

Community Church is healthy and moving forward. The culture is unified, team-driven, and genuinely joyful — a staff that walks with Jesus daily, values people over programs, and truly enjoys serving together. This isn’t a turnaround situation; it’s a strong church with steady momentum and real influence in the community.

A great match for this position would be:

  • Spiritual Discipleship: Shepherds people from the platform, in groups, and one-on-one. Leads out of a deep relationship with Jesus, bringing spiritual overflow to Sunday services and beyond.
  • Galvanizing Leader: Inspires and energizes others with clarity and passion. Naturally rallies people around vision, creating momentum and driving progress.
  • Strategic Leadership and Planning: Champions Community Church’s mission, vision, and values. Partners with the Lead Pastor, Executive Pastor, and Directional Team in planning and staff coordination, ensuring goals and action plans are accomplished.
  • Leadership Recruitment and Development: Builds strong teams by identifying, equipping, and empowering staff and volunteers. Invests in growth, discipleship, and long-term leadership development.
  • Care and Connection: Fosters authentic relationships, ensuring people feel seen, supported, and connected to the church family.

About This Organization

Community Church is a thriving, multi-campus church serving the Golden Isles of Coastal Georgia, with locations in St. Simons Island and Brunswick. Known throughout Glynn County as a church that leads with generosity and shows up for its community, Community Church is deeply invested in local outreach, partnerships, and practical care. Elder-governed and team-led, the church combines unified vision with empowered campus leadership, creating both alignment and local momentum. Location

St. Simons Island is truly a special place. The community is warm and welcoming, and Community Church is a beautiful reflection of that spirit. Even as a relatively new member of the staff, I felt like part of the family long before I officially joined the team.
