Lead Pastor & Elder – Mark Fritchman
Mark Fritchman serves as Lead Pastor and Elder at Community Church and has been on staff since 2010. With a deep passion for helping people encounter Jesus, Mark leads with a heart for authentic relationships and creating environments where people can experience God in real and life-changing ways.
As Lead Pastor, Mark helps shape the direction, vision, and culture of Community Church. He provides spiritual leadership to the congregation, elders, and staff, ensuring the church remains centered on biblical truth while fostering a healthy, grace-filled culture. His teaching is grounded in Scripture and marked by clarity, warmth, and a desire to see people not just attend church but truly walk with Jesus in everyday life.
Mark is married to Amy, and together they have three children — Asa and Eli, who are out of college, and Zoe, who is in high school. Their family has been deeply rooted in the life of the church and the Golden Isles community for many years.
Executive Pastor – Jim Towson
Jim Towson serves as Executive Pastor at Community Church and has been on staff since 2012, serving in a variety of roles throughout his tenure. His leadership blends a strong pastoral heart with thoughtful business insight and strategic thinking.
Working closely alongside the Lead Pastor and Elders, Jim helps shape and implement the vision and culture of Community Church. He oversees the ministries, operations, and staff of the church, ensuring that strategy, systems, and teams are aligned to support the mission. His focus is turning vision into action and building healthy structures that allow ministry to flourish.
Jim deeply values team-based leadership and equipping others to lead with clarity and confidence. He is passionate about empowering staff and volunteers to use their gifts while cultivating unity and excellence across campuses. Jim is married to Gina, and together they are raising their three daughters — Eleanor, Josie, and Margot. Outside of ministry, his greatest joy is investing in his family and the community they call home.
Elder & Teaching Pastor – Kenny Grant
Kenny Grant serves as Elder and Teaching Pastor at Community Church, bringing decades of leadership experience, biblical conviction, and shepherding wisdom to the church family.
Before entering ministry, Kenny served in the United States Marine Corps and was a drill instructor at Parris Island. During his military service, he came to faith in Christ in 1979 — a defining moment that shaped his calling to preach and teach God’s Word. After sensing a clear call to ministry, he left the Marine Corps to pursue pastoral leadership.
Kenny has pastored churches, planted congregations, and led evangelistic and discipleship ministries across the Southeast. In 2022, he and his wife Shirley returned to Brunswick, where he joined Community Church to help faithfully teach and proclaim Scripture. Married for over 40 years, they have four children and several grandchildren, and remain deeply invested in both their family and their church family.
