MISSION:
We exist to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Here at Cibolocreek, we believe church is not a building, the services, or even the teachings – a church is people. Our real work is relationships. We help guide people into friendships with other people who may be asking the same questions, dealing with similar issues, or who are interested in shared experiences or discovering how our faith intersects with everyday life.
Key Responsibilities
- Serves as Chief of Staff providing professional oversight and development of the church’s employees.
- Directs the implementation of the church’s annual strategic plan and its goals.
- Directs activity of administrative functions of the church including accounting, information services, website, facilities, personnel, legal, banking, insurance and finance functions of the church.
- Plans and leads weekly staff meetings.
- Seeks to protect the reputation of the church and its integrity by careful oversight of the church finances, legal records and code compliance.
- Maintains communication with key leadership teams such as the Elders, Trustees, Staff and volunteer ministry leaders.
- Manages multiple projects primarily related to: strategic planning and implementation, leadership development, staff performance, financial and organizational development.
- Serves as liaison and advocate for the church’s staff before the Board of Trustees and Board of Elders.
- Provides oversight of the church’s policies and procedures.
- Reviews legal issues of the church and consults legal counsel when necessary.
- Negotiates and monitors banking relationships.
- Oversees the maintenance and organization of vital business records and information for the corporation.
- Acts as primary signatory for checks and transfers disbursed from all funds of Cibolo Creek Community Church, Inc.
- Provides financial and other administrative reports to Trustees and Elders.
- Serves as Vice President/Treasurer and Corporate Director of Cibolo Creek Community Church, Inc. and Fiduciary for the corporations 403b plan.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor.
Key Qualifications
Ideal Background
The strongest candidates will likely come from one of the following leadership backgrounds:
- Experience serving in an Executive Pastor, Operations Pastor, or similar leadership role within a church where they were responsible for aligning vision, leading staff, and overseeing organizational systems.
- Leadership experience within a nonprofit organization where the candidate helped guide strategy, manage teams, and steward resources in a mission-driven environment.
- Leadership experience in the business world, particularly in areas such as finance, operations, project management, or organizational leadership. Candidates coming from a business background should also demonstrate a deep commitment to the local church and meaningful involvement in ministry leadership.
- Regardless of professional background, the ideal candidate will have experience helping organizations grow healthier and more effective by developing people, strengthening systems, and implementing clear strategy.
