Northbrook Baptist Church

Children's Minister

Cullman, Alabama

Why I Love This Opportunity

Mike Haight

Associate

Northbrook is in a healthy growth pattern and has recently established a more clearly defined vision and mission for the future. The people here are excited! They are adding new members regularly, and new mission partnerships are forming. They have also established a clear pathway for discipleship and are developing new leaders in their faith. This is an excellent opportunity for a visionary and relational leader to continue building a healthy children’s ministry while working alongside an exceptional team.

About This Organization

Northbrook’s mission is “equipping the religiously saturated to become kingdom investors.” This church is strategically positioning itself as an equipping church in a region saturated by cultural Christianity. Their vision for the next six years is to redesign Northbrook as a regional compass where people from every stage in life are cultivating their personal calling to achieve maximum impact for God’s kingdom. Since the beginning, Northbrook’s doors have been open to people of every background and place in their spiritual journey. Still, in this new season, they intentionally focus on creatively inspiring, faithfully equipping, and generously investing in a pipeline of next-generation leaders to see them redeemed, developed, and deployed for the kingdom.

Northbrook has a very relaxed and casual environment; about 500 people gather here each weekend. The worship services are contemporary in style, gospel-centered in content, and Bible-saturated in the programming approach. They value authenticity and truth over attraction and atmosphere. The church offers Life Groups for adults, students (7-12th grade), preteens (5-6th grade), and kids of all ages (birth-4th grade) beginning at 9:00 am each Sunday. Following Life Groups, children attend a worship service designed for kids at 10:30 am. On Wednesday nights, Northbrook offers a church-wide dinner followed by activities and classes for people of all ages. Programming for kids includes a fun gathering while teaching kids more about being a disciple of Jesus.
