About This Organization

SeaCoast Grace started four blocks from Seal Beach in a small church in 1989, then moved to a school before ultimately landing at its current property in Cypress. The church is steadily growing, predominantly with families from the surrounding areas. They also maintain a second campus at Seal Beach, which provides incredible opportunities for ministry and overall church growth. SCG is known in the community as a place to find community, solid teaching, and worship.

Position Description

The Children’s Director will provide vision and leadership for the SCG Kids program, staff, and volunteers. They have 3-weekend experiences for kids to meet Jesus by hearing God’s word, as well as a thriving program for kids to be further discipled and enrich their understanding of God and His word that is held twice a year. SeaCoast Grace is growing and healthy, and the Kids Ministry has incredible facilities and a generous ministry budget. There is also a scrappy and talented staff team currently serving SCG Kids that is ready to welcome a new leader who can further develop them and allow them to thrive.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Staff and Volunteer team building
  • Vision casting and training leaders for ministry
  • Equip the Kids team to execute Faithful, Fun, and Safe programs for children
  • Ensure effective facilitation of Rooted for Kids, VBS, Kids Camp, and other kid/family-focused events
  • Develop and maintain security through background checks for all volunteers, recommend facility improvements, and create and enforce necessary policies.
  • Complete weekly and monthly administrative functions such as scheduling volunteers, reporting payroll time, reporting team statistics, and incident reports as needed
