I’m excited to partner with Canyon Hills Community Church to help them find their first Hispanic Ministry Pastor. CHCC is an exciting, fun, and dynamic church looking for a relational leader with visionary capacity and an entrepreneurial spirit to lead its current Hispanic ministry and community into the preferable future.
Canyon Hills Community Church (CHCC) was planted in 1995 by current Senior Pastor Steve Walker, his wife Tammi, and several close friends. With outstanding children’s and student ministries that feature corporate worship on all levels and small groups for life change, CHCC continues to reach its surrounding community for Christ.
Today, the CHCC community has grown to an average of more than 4000 people per weekend, including all age groups and nearly 200 life groups functioning throughout the week.
CHCC desires to worship and make famous the name of the one and only true God and to meet the needs of His people both around them and in over 25 countries worldwide through their weekly services, food bank, ministries to widows and single mothers, aid and assistance programs, a biblical counseling center and foreign and domestic missions.
CHCC is in a very healthy state with strong, stable leadership and direction. The church offers four engaging and identical services each Sunday morning (and early afternoon) with powerful verse-by-verse expository Bible teaching, excellent modern worship, and effective use of media and technology.
CHCC is seeking a Hispanic Ministry Pastor who is committed to the mission of Canyon Hills Community Church and is passionate about seeing the local Latino community come to faith in Jesus and grow in their walk with Him. They are looking for someone to provide leadership, vision, and strategy to recruit volunteers and work with their staff and ministries to be more effective in assimilating Latino families into the life of the church. They are not looking to build an independent Hispanic church but to incorporate the Latino community into the life and ministry of Canyon Hills.
Canyon Hills is currently serving Hispanic families and individuals through outreach events, small groups, interpretation of Sunday services, and their food bank ministry. They desire to expand this ministry and provide leadership and strategy to be more intentional in reaching the Latino community with the gospel.
