Pastor Koby has served in ministry at Canyon Hills for the past 15 years, in roles including Worship Pastor, preaching team member, and assistant Senior Pastor. On October 13, 2024 he became the Senior Pastor after our founding Pastor (Steve Walker) retired. Steve and the elders commissioned Koby for this role and were unanimous in their support and excitement for him and the future of the church.
Koby and his wife Halley have 5 kids ranging from ages 4 to 15 and kids ministry is seen as vital in the life of the church by senior leadership.
Jon Walker is the Executive Family Pastor and has served in ministry at Canyon Hills for 10 years, in roles including High School Pastor, Student Lead and now Executive Family Pastor. He and his wife Becki have three kids from ages 4 to 12.
Darryl Jacobsen, Kids Pastor, has been on staff with Canyon Hills for a number of years leading Communications. His passion for ministry to kids has been on the sidelines through curriculum, teaching and camps. After much discernment and prayer he accepted the role of Kids Pastor in January 2026 and the transition has been truly God’s design. Darryl and his wife, Kelcy, have four kids ages 3 to 11! Fun fact: Darryl loves coaching his kid’s sports teams.
