Chapelstreet Church

Worship Director

Geneva, Illinois

Why I Love This Opportunity

Brian Nelson

Associate

I love Chapelstreet because they are growing across all four locations and have a healthy, growing staff. They’re in the beautiful SW suburbs of Chicago and are reaching many young families. This position will not only lead their Keslinger Campus, with 1500 people per weekend, but will have the potential to lead the entire worship department. It’s a man or woman who will continue to move the Keslinger Campus forward in their worship of God.

God is working in a major way right now and they need someone to join them!

About This Organization

Chapelstreet Church is a growing, four-campus church that dates back 130 years! It’s incredible to see all four locations reaching their neighborhoods, committed to transforming lives and impacting the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ. It’s a church where people can experience grace, grow in faith, and make an impact—for where you are.

Position Description

Chapelstreet is looking for a Worship Director, who will primarily lead at their Keslinger Campus. Depending on experience and giftedness, this role could even expand to a more global Worship Pastor role, with responsibilities over all the campuses. The goal is to move the congregation into a vibrant worship relationship with God. To learn their voice and help them continue to develop and grow in their participation.

The perfect candidate will have a passion for worship and empowering it. Being prepared and running a good rehearsal will be a fit to the volunteers. Planning strong services that match the voice of their people and helping them to discover and grow in their voice. Getting along with other staff, while settling into a great community, kids ministries (if appropriate) and one who truly loves their congregation and co-workers would make him/her stick.

Chapelstreet is hoping this position might lead the other worship staff. Each worship leader currently reports to their campus pastors. They plan their own services and execute them on their campus. There is a growing desire for collaboration and working together, but not for doing the same service orders across the campuses. They are currently in the process of evaluating and restructuring their org chart, so dotted-line influence leadership may change, but they are committed to the authority leadership to remain with the campus pastor.

This new hire will replace a well-loved and excellent leader, planner, vocalist and instrumentalist. He built an incredible team and there is much to be thankful for. It leads to quite the opportunity. We believe it’s an amazing place to jump in!
