
Key Responsibilities
- Worship Services Management: Oversees all elements of worship services including song selection, media preparation, sound/lighting, set design, and coordination of instrumentalists and vocalists while ensuring each service is adequately staffed.
- Leadership & Team Development: Recruits, trains, and empowers worship team members based on their gifting and interests, providing ongoing education and exposure to training opportunities through ministries, books, and conferences.
- Strategic Planning & Collaboration: Works closely with the pastoral team to plan corporate worship services with prayer, theological accuracy, and musical appropriateness that supports the church’s overall teaching ministry and mission.
- Technical & Administrative Oversight: Directs maintenance of worship equipment, utilizes Planning Center for scheduling and resource distribution, and develops/oversees the annual worship budget with stewardship.
- Direct Worship Leadership: Leads or provides leadership for praise and worship in all scheduled church services and events, directing weekly activities and rehearsals necessary for effective worship experiences.
Key Qualifications
- Spiritual Foundation: Demonstrates a deep and abiding love for God through consistent prayer and Bible study that visibly manifests in life and ministry.
- Musical Ability: Skilled vocalist with experience leading worship in contemporary or blended settings, preferably with instrumental capability and experience providing direction to worship teams.
- Leadership Presence: Possesses relational skills and enthusiastic presence needed to lead a congregation of 650-900 people, with strong abilities to listen, motivate, and direct both volunteers and paid staff.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled with worship-related technology including sound, lighting, media computers, video projection (ProPresenter), and related software/equipment.
- Educational Background: Holds or is pursuing an undergraduate degree (seminary training preferred) with organizational, administrative, and interpersonal capabilities.
