Quicksilver Church

Associate Pastor

San Jose, California

Why I Love This Opportunity

Chris Lagerlof

Senior Associate

I love Quicksilver and their passion to see people in the Bay Area “become disciples one conversation at a time”. This is an amazing opportunity for someone with a passion to see people take their next steps on the discipleship journey. Quicksilver is looking for a relational leader focused on connecting people to each other, the church and opportunities to serve on mission. If you love helping people grow spiritually and flourish in their walk with Jesus, then this is a great opportunity for you!

About This Organization

In January 2020, Garden City Church announced their plans to send out Associate Pastor/Elder Fred Mok to plant a new church in south San Jose. This new church would have a new name and be financially independent but share the same DNA of Garden City’s mission of making disciples as well as vision, values, doctrine, and ministry philosophy.

In Spring 2020, Fred and his wife Judy, began to gather a core team from Garden City and other local churches. Weekly public services began in Fall 2020.

Quicksilver is a close-knit community of well-churched believers, most of whom work in tech. They have a number of pastors’ kids and those whom went through a period of doubt and questioning in their faith.

Quicksilver Church is a member of the church of the Acts 29 Network.
