Missoula, MT, and the surrounding area is one of the most beautiful corners of the United States. One Missoula Church sits in the center of it all, fiercely devoted to the Bible, to Jesus and to biblical community in a region that is progressively post-Christian. You won’t find a more beautiful area, a better church or a greater opportunity for the Gospel to change many lives!
In 2016, Brad and Margaret Saab began a two-year wandering about the southeast United States, praying, fasting, and seeking where God would have them plant the Gospel and begin a new church. Throughout this two year “wilderness” wandering, the Saab’s sensed a consistent and inescapable conviction that God was calling them back to Missoula, MT, where they had previously ministered, to make disciples and build His Kingdom.
In the summer of 2018, the Saab family returned to Missoula and began talking with others about a vision for a biblically faithful and Spirit-empowered church plant. It wasn’t long before a living room Bible study grew into a launch team meeting in a hotel conference room by January 2019. Monthly preview services began at a mall movie theater in the summer of 2019. In January 2020, One Missoula launched as a full-fledged church complete with children’s ministry and weekly worship services. Despite temporarily losing the movie theater during COVID-19 interruption, God continued to bring resources and people throughout 2020 and 2021.
As lives continued to change, doors continued to open in ways that could only be attributed to the favor of God upon this mission. In September 2022, the church was able to purchase and begin renovations on an abandoned church building on one of the most highly trafficked roads in the entire state of Montana. Since that time, this young congregation has grown in number of attendees, volunteers serving in various lay-ministry roles, staff members, and lives changed. One Missoula eagerly looks forward to seeing who God will bring for the next season of increased growth and impact.
