Abundant Life Church

Kids Pastor

Lee's Summit,

Missouri

Why I Love This Opportunity

Kenny Conley

Associate

Abundant Life is a fast-growing church that’s having a profound impact in and around Kansas City. Strong leadership and a laser focus on their mission are helping them make a remarkable difference in their community. Leadership at Abundant Life has made significant investments in the next generation, and they see a healthy and thriving kids’ ministry as a driver for growth and life change. They’re looking for an experienced leader to architect and build a world-class kids ministry – an exciting adventure for anyone with strong children’s ministry experience.

About This Organization

Abundant Life is a non-denominational church in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, only 20 miles southeast of Kansas City. Abundant Life began with a small group of families in a basement and saw steady growth through the 1990s. In 1999, they were without a senior pastor, and Phil Hopper, a Kansas City law enforcement officer attending the church, was asked to preach for a Sunday. A few months later, Phil stepped away from his career and became the lead pastor of Abundant Life.

Growth at Abundant Life could only be described as extraordinary. Over the next decade, the church would move into several new facilities, outgrowing each one shortly after moving in. In 2016, Abundant Life opened a beautiful, state-of-the-art worship facility to help the church grow its ministry in Lee’s Summit, the Kansas City region, and beyond.

Abundant Life is boldly entering a season with a clear mission and focus. Reaching over six thousand people weekly at five physical locations around Kansas City, Abundant Life is on mission to see lives changed by Jesus through the power of biblical community.
