Atascadero Bible Church is vibrant with young families, busy youth programs and an actively growing recovery ministry. They have worked intentionally to strip away pretense and encourage people to “come as you are to church” and it is working!
Atascadero Bible Church was birthed out of the vision of 5 families in the 1930’s to have a Bible centered gospel preaching church. They formed what was then called “church of the living word” in an effort to establish a non-denominational evangelical church. There have been several church names and several pastors that have come and gone in the last 90 years but the vision has remained the same.
ABC has historically placed a heavy emphasis on next generation ministries reaching kids and youth with programs, conferences, and camps and in so doing ministering to entire families with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
They emphasize relational discipleship and hope that every person at ABC will join a group, and move toward a one on one discipleship relationship as they seek to become equipped as the saints for the work of ministry for building up the body of Christ.
Today ABC Church sees 1000 adults and 180 kids on Sundays plus over 200 students in the youth ministry as they teach through the Bible expositionally and have a modern / contemporary worship team.
The ABC Kids director is passionate to equip children and their parents to become more like Jesus. This position specifically leads staff and volunteers in the planning and execution of ABC kids ministry birth – 5th grade, family ministry outreach, and kids/family events.
