About This Organization

The Mission of Our Calling is to help neighbors experiencing homelessness walk with Jesus, get off the streets, and into a healthy community.

We are passionate about loving and helping our unsheltered homeless neighbors transition to better lives. We are a faith-based ministry where every job is a ministry position. While everyone on the team wears multiple hats, our primary function is helping people walk with Jesus and getting them off the streets.

We want everything that we do to point to Jesus. We serve 300-500 guests daily. We operate a “no-barrier” navigation center for the unsheltered homeless community. We are not a shelter, instead we help people enter into long term programs and recovery centers across the country.

Our vision is for all neighbors to be in a healthy community, cared for with dignity, and connected intentionally to the body of Christ and the services they need.

Location

“I love working at OurCalling because it’s the rare place where the Gospel and practical care aren’t in tension – we invite our neighbors to walk with Jesus and offer them a real path off the streets in the same breath. I’ve seen how much healing depends on being known and cared for with dignity, and that’s exactly what happens here every day, whether it’s on a street outreach run or in a conversation at the Navigation Center, or in our permanent supportive housing at OurCommunity. Getting to walk with people from the isolation of survival into a healthy community is the most meaningful work I could imagine doing.”
