Mission, Vision, and Values
Mission Statement:
- To make and send disciples who love and live like Jesus.
Vision Statement:
- We place intentional disciple-makers into relational spaces.
Staff Culture
- Ours is a relationally driven staff culture where connection matters deeply; you cannot just run programs here, you have to genuinely love the people.
- We embrace a high degree of autonomy and flexibility, trusting self-starters to manage their schedules and prioritizing being out with people over being tied to a desk.
- We balance being a high-grace environment with a healthy level of challenge, working to ensure that our grace empowers rather than enables.
- We prioritize authenticity over religious performance; if you are uncomfortable being around someone enjoying a cigar or a beer, you probably won’t be a great fit for our team.
- We value a driver mentality, looking for hard workers who love the work of ministry and aren’t afraid to put in the hours and run hard after the mission together.
Key Qualifications
- You possess a minimum of five or more years of full-time vocational ministry experience, specifically demonstrating a strong track record of building or growing scalable discipleship systems rather than simply inheriting them.
- You have direct experience serving effectively within a large-church context of 1,000 or more attendees, giving you the organizational capacity to scale small group pipelines.
- You demonstrate a proven background in shepherding, coaching, and managing high-capacity staff members and volunteer leaders toward shared goals without micromanaging them.
- You are fully aligned with Riverside’s core theological distinctives, which include a firm stance on eternal security (“once saved, always saved”) and a non-Calvinistic doctrinal posture.
- You maintain an enthusiastic commitment to empowering, championing, and supporting female leaders and shepherds across all levels of staff and volunteer ministry.
- You have a relevant ministry-focused Bachelor’s degree (preferred), coupled with the practical, demonstrable communication skills to teach or preach effectively a few times a year on the main stage.
