Lakepointe Church

Missions Pastor

Rockwall,
Texas
The Missions Pastor helps Lakepointe live out their calling to reach people everywhere with the hope of Jesus. This leader stewards both local and global partnerships, mobilizes our church to serve, give and go, and creates pathways for people to take their next step in living on mission. They build strong teams, cultivate healthy relationships, and ensure every initiative reflects excellence, clarity, and Kingdom impact.

Why We Love This Opportunity

This is a tremendous opportunity to join a world-class team at a rapidly growing church with a deep commitment to global and local mission. Lakepointe has created an exceptional platform—strong leadership, clear vision, and robust resources—that allows a Missions Pastor to focus on what matters most: mobilizing people to serve, give, and go. The culture is highly collaborative, and the impact is truly global.

A great match for this position would be:

  • Visionary Mobilizer: Casts and scales a compelling missions vision that activates people to pray, give, and go across all campuses. Creates clear onramps and systems that grow engagement and participation church-wide.
  • Relational Leader: Leads through trust and collaboration with staff, donors, campus teams, and global partners. Builds strong, aligned relationships that advance the mission together, not in silos.
  • Cross-Cultural Discernment: Brings wisdom, cultural intelligence, and spiritual discernment when evaluating and stewarding global partnerships. Ensures integrity, alignment, and long-term fruitfulness in international ministry relationships.
  • Organizational Leader: Effectively leads leaders, manages complexity, and steward resources at scale. Oversees team development, budgets, trips, and operations with clarity, accountability, and strategic focus.
  • Global Ministry Practitioner: Has firsthand international ministry experience, especially in mobilizing others. Connects global vision to practical execution through partnership leadership, travel, and hands-on engagement
  • Missions Ministry at Lakepointe: The Missions Ministry at Lakepointe Church exists to mobilize people to Serve, Give, and Go—locally and globally. Lakepointe supports a wide range of local outreach efforts including foster care, food distribution, Convoy of Hope, Hands of Mercy, and care initiatives for seniors, cancer patients, and families in need.

Globally, Lakepointe partners with the Strategic Launch Network to plant churches in hard-to-reach cities such as Portland, San Francisco, Salt Lake City, and Boston. The church also supports missionaries in 25 countries worldwide and equips hundreds of members each year for hands-on mission work.

In 2025, Lakepointe mobilized 600 people across 60 mission trips. The Missions Pastor provides leadership for an $8.5M annual budget and oversees a team of 12–15 staff members serving across eight campuses.

About This Organization

In an old bait house more than 40 years ago, seven dedicated families humbly started Lakepointe Church. They had one goal: to start a church serving the young families moving into their community. Now, over 25,000 people meet weekly in 2 languages across their 8 Dallas/Fort Worth locations, and the spirit of the seven families can still be felt today. Additionally, God has used Lakepointe to reach beyond their DFW communities through their church planting network (Strategic Launch Network) to plant 90 churches, to date, in the most spiritually hard-to-reach cities across the United States.

Location

“I love living in this area—you get that small-town, tight-knit community feel, but you’re still close to the city with access to everything you could want. It’s the best of both worlds!”
