Pastor Koby has served in ministry at Canyon Hills for the past 15 years, in roles including Worship Pastor, preaching team member, and assistant Senior Pastor. On October 13, 2024 he became the Senior Pastor after our founding Pastor (Steve Walker) retired. Steve and the elders commissioned Koby for this role and were unanimous in their support and excitement for him and the future of the church.
Koby and his wife Halley have 5 kids ranging from ages 4 to 15 and kids ministry is seen as vital in the life of the church by senior leadership.
Jon Walker, Executive Family Pastor, will be the supervisor of this role. Jon has served in ministry at Canyon Hills for 10 years, in roles including High School Pastor, Student Lead and now Executive Family Pastor. He and his wife Becki have three kids from ages 4 to 12.
The Kids Ministry at Canyon Hills exists to make more and better disciples among kids and their families. That is expressed in 5 core values:
-
- God Honoring Ministry that glorifies Him and not us.
- Biblically Based and Gospel Centered Teaching that shares the good news of Jesus every time.
- Parent Support in all we do.
- Friendly and Fun to meet kids where they are at
- Safe and Wise in our choices and structures.
Seeing 750 kids between 5 services and still growing, this ministry is high energy and intentionally bible based.
