The Foundry Church

Executive Pastor

Houston, Texas

About This Organization

The Foundry Church, with two campuses in Houston’s rapidly growing northwest region, is a vibrant community with a single focus “TO HELP PEOPLE KNOW, FOLLOW, AND SHARE JESUS.” The church has a rich history, starting in 1978 when 28 people gathered with a vision to reach the growing neighborhoods near Jersey Village. Over the years, it expanded, establishing its first campus on Jones Road in 1982, followed by a second campus on Fry Road in 2007, in the master-planned Bridgeland community of Cypress. This location is nestled in one of the fastest-growing areas in the nation, offering a blend of suburban charm and urban convenience. As the community expanded, so did the church’s mission, including the creation of Cy-Hope, a nonprofit dedicated to serving the children of the Cy-Fair school district. Originally affiliated with the United Methodist Church, Foundry transitioned to independent governance in 2023 after disaffiliating from the denomination, emphasizing a commitment to a historic, creedal faith, and the authority of scripture. Today, under the leadership of Pastor Ray Hughes, Foundry continues to thrive as part of The Foundry Network, a coalition of like-minded churches focused on evangelism, discipleship, and mission, while honoring its Wesleyan roots and a strong sense of community.
