ORPHANetwork

Major Gifts Officer

Remote

ORPHANetwork (soon to be renamed to reflect its evolving vision) seeks a highly motivated, faith-reliant, and outcomes-driven Major Gifts Officer to join its mission of breaking the cycle of poverty for highly vulnerable children in Nicaragua and beyond. This is an opportunity to elevate the cause of transforming lives through intentional, Christ-centered development programs. As Major Gifts Officer, reporting directly to the CEO, you will play a pivotal role in mobilizing financial resources to bring true life change to children living in extreme poverty. You’ll cultivate meaningful relationships with gift partners, inspiring generosity through compelling storytelling and connecting their passions to ORPHANetwork’s impactful mission. This role requires a self-starter who is faithful in prayer, trusts in God’s leading, and is personally passionate about the work of transforming the lives of children in the poorest areas of the world.

Why I Love This Opportunity

This role offers a rare and deeply meaningful chance to create tangible, life-changing impact for vulnerable children. As the Major Gifts Officer, you’ll have the privilege of helping current and potential donors focus their hearts and resources on breaking cycles of poverty, providing critical support—nutritious meals, education, spiritual growth, and opportunities for a brighter future. Few roles offer such a clear and immediate path to demonstrating God’s love in action, transforming lives in profound and lasting ways. This is an opportunity to truly “be the hands and feet of Christ” in bringing hope to the most forgotten children in the world.

About This Organization

ORPHANetwork partners with local churches and communities to bring holistic support to over 20,000 children annually. With deep roots in Nicaragua, programs focus on physical health, education, and economic sustainability … with the greatest priority on spiritual development.

What sets ORPHANetwork apart is an emphasis on seeing God’s Kingdom expand among the poorest of the poor children, in partnership with indigenous churches. Their compelling “why” is rooted in their desire to bring the fullness of life that Jesus promises in John 10:10—a life filled with hope, restoration, and purpose.

ORPHANetwork is motivated by three core beliefs:

  • God loves His Kingdom on earth.  Kingdom Growth: Their mission is centered on bringing Jesus’ life and light to vulnerable children.
  • God Loves All Children: He does not play favorites.  He created each person in His image.  Every person has innate value.  All are worth the effort to know God and pursue their purpose.   They are  called to serve an underserved group.
  • God loves His local church: They believe the local church is central to transforming communities. Through partnerships, they empower indigenous churches to lead change and provide holistic care for children in their communities.

They accomplish all of this through church-to-church connections and personalized engagement with gift partners. As they expand into new regions and deepen their impact, they remain steadfast in their commitment to Christ-centered care that transforms lives both now and for eternity.
