About This Organization

Hopevale Church has been ministering to the Great Lakes Bay Region since 1958. This non-denominational church has been a stable spiritual presence in the area. The Mission of Hopevale is to be a Community of Grace and Truth inviting people to Know and Follow Jesus. The staff at Hopevale has great clarity towards their mission, culture and values.

Hopevale supports key missional partners such as Bay City Rescue Ministries, Mustard Seed Shelter, Caring Closet and the East Side Soup Kitchen. They partner with 25+ missionaries serving unreached parts of the world.

In 2010 the church opened the Saginaw Campus with a 1,000-seat ministry facility to bring a greater impact to the community. In 2018 they opened the Bay City Campus. Josh Pardee became the new Senior Pastor of Hopevale in 2023. Josh’s leadership and teaching style resonates with the Grace and Truth mission of Hopevale. God has done great things over 65+ years of ministry. The church leadership has vision to empower future growth and ministry impact for years to come.

Position Description

Hopevale’s Sunday morning strengths include worship services filled with great teaching and worship, faith-based children’s ministries and a welcoming lobby environment full of life, that allows people to connect with each other.

Hopevale has a solid foundation and a core volunteer worship team in place.  There is a great opportunity for this new leader to continue a path towards greater discipleship and development within the ministry, while supporting the community of Hopevale for a greater missional impact.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Visionary and Pastoral Leadership for the Worship Ministry
  • Oversee service planning and worship schedule
  • Train and develop team members and leaders
  • Serve in rotation of worship leaders for Sunday morning
  • Give support as needed to Bay City Campus

  • Spiritual depth and passion for God
  • High relational influence
  • Solid platform leadership (spiritual and musical)
  • High capacity in worship service and creative planning
  • Ability to lead and develop band and vocal team
