About This Organization

Christian Heritage Academy (CHA) has been providing Christian education and training since 1972 with a vision of training American Christian leaders for every sphere of society. CHA is a fully accredited, private Christian school serving families of the Oklahoma City metropolitan area from grades Pre-K through high school. Committed to excellence in academics, athletics, and the fine arts, CHA is sending out leaders prepared to influence others for the sake of Christ and the glory of God.

CHA offers its students great opportunities, both in and out of the classroom, such as dual credit enrollment, competitive OSSAA athletics, student leadership programs, and annual foreign mission trips. Position Description

The Headmaster works directly under the supervision of the CHA Board of Trustees in an independent, community Christian school that partners with parents to enroll over 690 Pre-K – Grade 12 students at Christian Heritage Academy in Del City, OK.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • The headmaster is responsible for leading all aspects of the school’s ministry including but not limited to spiritual leadership and pastoral care, recruiting and retaining excellent Christian teachers and staff members, maintaining accreditation standards with ACSI, strategic planning, upholding the Mission and Vision of the school, and ensuring that the budget represents excellent stewardship.
  • The headmaster develops strategies to achieve the academic, instructional, programmatic, and curricular goals as well as other extracurricular and co-curricular initiatives.
  • The headmaster ensures that all academic programs and instruction are of the highest quality and consistent with a Christian Philosophy of Education in keeping with the school’s Mission, Vision, Core Values, Statement of Faith, and Philosophy and Methodology of Education.

 

What A Strong Candidate Would Look Like:

  • Deep & Mature Walk with Christ – Knows scripture and self-governs in Christ
  • Highly Relational – Intentionally invests in knowing the students and their families
  • Executive Experience – Demonstrated leadership experience in private Christian Education or Executive Church role
  • A Teacher – Experience teaching in Christian Education and/or Church Leadership
  • Confident Public Speaker – Skilled and gifted in speaking publicly to students, families, guests and constituents on a regular basis
  • Committed to Maintain CHA Legacy – Long-term desire to serve as Headmaster at CHA for many years to come
  • Experienced in Education: Completed (or in-process of obtaining) Masters degree
  • Committed to Rudimentary Principles of American History in our Government
  • Family Oriented – Family with Children & Spouse who are “all in” at CHA
  • Servant Leader – Serving their local Church
