Senior Pastor, Kyle Idleman, along with other members of the church leadership team, guides and supports the staff in their daily mission of helping members and attendees grow in their faith.

Position Description

As the Bullitt County Campus Connections Director, you will have the opportunity to lead the engagement process, helping families and individuals plug into the life and heart of the church. You will provide pastoral care and support the Campus Pastor with platform hosting and teaching responsibilities, as well as grow the team that helps create a welcoming and excellent environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with the Campus Pastor and the multi-campus disciple-making team to develop and implement engagement strategies in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Southeast.
  • Leading the engagement process at the Bullitt County campus, including Starting Point and Membership classes, to provide a pathway for growth from guest to engaged member and committed follower of Christ.
  • Providing pastoral care and oversight for adult groups in partnership with other BC campus staff.
  • Leading the Decision Guide, Baptism Assistant, and Guest Central volunteer teams.
  • Assisting the Campus Pastor with platform host and teaching responsibilities, as needed.
  • Carrying out pastoral responsibilities: hospital visitations, baptisms, weddings, funerals, Minister-On-Call rotation, etc…

 

What a Strong Candidate Would Look Like:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of Biblical disciple-making and the ability to communicate it to others.
  • Ability to explain doctrinal issues and answer questions in a biblical and understandable manner.
    * Ability to identify, shepherd, recruit, train, and empower volunteers and group leaders.
    * Highly relational with strong people skills and the ability to inspire people toward action.
    * Strong work ethic and a team player who interacts well with staff, members and guests.
    * Bachelor’s Degree required; degree in Bible, Ministry, or Christian Education preferred.
    * 3+ years ministry experience in a church setting.
    * Ordained pastor or willingness to become ordained.
    * Agree with the Statement of Faith (https://www.southeastchristian.org/who-we-are), submit to the leadership established by the church, and live out the SECC church Mantras in tangible ways (https://www.southeastchristian.org/who-we-are#mantras).
