Northside is a vibrant church with a rich history of Kingdom impact, and we believe God is continuing to do a great work here. With a strong and healthy worship culture already in place, we’re excited to welcome a Worship Minister who will take the lead in shaping and growing the student worship environment, while also serving regularly as part of our Sunday worship rotation.
Northside Christian Church began in 1970 with just a handful of families gathered in the basement of a home. United by faith and a desire to see God’s Kingdom expand, this small group could never have imagined the impact their obedience would have in the decades to come.
As the church grew, God continued to open doors—first through an agreement with a local Seventh-Day Adventist congregation that allowed Northside to hold Sunday morning services in their unused building. Soon after, the church purchased its first permanent home on Grantline Road, affectionately known as “The White House.” In 1974, Northside constructed the first of several buildings on the adjacent property and continued to expand over the next 30 years to accommodate growing ministry needs.
In 1993, an unexpected opportunity arose when a local New Albany farmer offered to sell 47 acres of land on Charlestown Road. Although the leadership wasn’t seeking a new location—or such a large parcel of land—they sensed God’s leading and stepped forward in faith. That decision paved the way for the current Northside campus, with the original building opening in 2002 and the 2,000-seat auditorium completed in 2006.
Today, Northside is known as a “big church that feels small”—a community deeply committed to discipleship, authentic relationships, and reaching “The One” through our strategic planning and partnership with Intentional Churches. We remain grounded in our legacy while boldly pursuing the future God is calling us to.
This position is a key member of the Worship Department, with a primary focus on supporting and leading the worship needs of the Student Ministries.
