Sevier Heights is seeking a new Creative Arts Pastor to oversee worship, production, and support services. This incredible church is making a huge impact on the city of Knoxville. With an average attendance of more then 5000 people each weekend, they are focused, passionate, and intentional about reaching their community and the world.
Sevier Heights has been in the Knoxville community since the 1930s. In 1999, the church opened its present location under the leadership of Senior Pastor Hollie Miller. As the church continued to grow, the need for a second campus was evident, so the Sevier Heights North Campus was established in 2011 pastored by Tim Miller, a long-tenured staff member and the son of the Senior Pastor.
In 2018, pastor Hollie announced his retirement after 31 years of ministry and a search was initiated for the next pastor. A short but sweet 6-month process resulted in Tim Miller being called as the new pastor of Sevier Heights.
Since that time, Pastor Tim has brought both campuses under one roof, worked hard to develop and cast the vision and mission of the church, navigated a difficult global pandemic, and maintained debt-free financial independence.
Sevier Heights is boldly entering a new season with a clear understanding of who they are and what they are seeking to accomplish. The mission and vision is clear and the words and phrases on the walls of the church are also on the hearts of the people.
The new Creative Arts Pastor at Sevier Heights Church will have the opportunity to join the existing, talented, and creative staff by leading through meaningful relationships, extensive experience, and a pastor’s heart. The right candidate will have experience leading creatives at a high level, while also knowing how to work as an administrator. Overseeing the worship, production, and support services teams, the new leader will need to see the big picture, be a strategic thinker, and operate in a fast-paced environment.
Additionally, the Creative Arts Pastor will need to understand what it takes to create an incredible worship experience because at Sevier Heights the Sunday experience is priority number one. Working collaboratively with the Senior Pastor, the Executive Pastor, and the Creative Arts team, this leader will be responsible for the overall direction, production, and execution of the weekend worship experience.
