This coastal Georgia community boasts some of the nation’s most beautiful beaches and offers an incredible place to raise a family. For someone looking for a great work-life balance, this is the perfect opportunity.

About This Organization

FBC Brunswick is a multi-generational church that really lives out their mission statement – “To Lead People From Where They Are To Where God Wants Them To Be.” Their services are full of dynamic worship and practical, Biblical teaching geared toward helping people grow as disciples of Jesus. They desire to serve the community with excellence so that all they encounter will have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. They know that when one’s relationship with Christ grows, it affects every other aspect of life: marriages, children, neighborhoods, businesses, and communities. They are focused on teaching God’s Word and reaching out to all people who still need the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Position Description

The new Worship Pastor will have the opportunity to join this talented team to dream, vision-cast, and lead into the future. With many professional musicians volunteering at the church, the new leader must know how to work with, communicate, and lead leaders. In addition to leadership skills, creativity, and talent, the new Worship Pastor must be a shepherd and caring pastor. Loving and pastoring people are the ultimate “wins” at First Baptist Church, and these characteristics should come naturally to the new Worship Pastor. Ideally, the new Worship Pastor will see himself as the “lead worshiper” – setting the tone for congregational participation, investing in the community, and demonstrating lifestyle worship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with Senior Pastor to plan, lead, and execute corporate worship gatherings
  • Pastor, shepherd, and lead not only worship ministry participants but the whole church
  • Oversee comprehensive worship ministry, including choirs, orchestras, ensembles, and other groups
  • Plan seasonal events such as Christmas, Easter, Patriotic, etc.
  • Work with staff and be a “team player”

What a Strong Candidate Would Look Like:

  • Five or More Years of Experience Leading Worship
  • Lead From Guitar and/or Keys
  • Choir and Orchestra Directing Experience
  • Team Player
  • Lead Worshipper – Not Just a Performer
