Businesses, shops, and restaurants in the downtown area surround us. Spartanburg County has experienced population growth due to significant business investment over the past two decades. A minor league baseball stadium is being built within walking distance from our campus. Spartanburg is a family-friendly community with good public school systems and several private and charter school options. Five local high schools feed into our congregation as well.

Under the Senior Pastor’s direction, the Executive Pastor is responsible for managing the ministry teams and providing leadership in carrying out FBS’s strategic ministry plan. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Executive Pastor leads the Ministry Team in delivering on performance objectives while developing an effective and efficient ministry operation. The Executive Pastor works with the Senior Pastor and Church Administrator, aligning long-range strategic planning with effective and efficient use of church funds to fuel the ministries of FBS.
