About This Organization

Traders Point Christian Schools (TPCS) is located on a beautiful 25-acre campus on the northwest side of Indianapolis in Whitestown, the fastest-growing community in Indiana. TPCS is ACSI accredited with over 650 students from six diverse counties. Traders Point offers a private Christian education for early childhood through 12th-grade students.

 

Position Description

Under the direction of the Board of Directors, the Head of School (HOS) serves as the chief executive officer of Traders Point Christian Schools, performing the duties and executing the policies established by the Board of Directors.
Position authority is vested through the Board and includes responsibility for all TPCS educational and managerial functions. Most importantly, the HOS will spend considerable time communicating with parents, faculty and staff, students, donors, and other stakeholders in a manner that would build trust and demonstrate TPCS’s stability and strengths for the future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicates frequently with parents, faculty and staff, students, donors, and other stakeholders through in-person meetings, email, texts, phone, and other methods.
  • Listens intently and develops communication strategies that would: reengage disgruntled parents and staff; provide opportunities for stakeholder input; provide healing; communicate strengths of TPCS; and demonstrate the stability of leadership.
  • Develops and implement strategies to build and organize the current senior administrators of TPCS to enable a united focus. Provide individual accountability for each senior administrator based on agreed-upon goals.
  • Delegates appropriate tasks to senior administrations and hold them accountable for successful execution.
  • Works closely with the admissions staff in recruitment and retention efforts. Develops specific weekly enrollment goals and hold staff accountable for meeting them. Participates in recruitment and retention efforts through calls, letters, availability during campus tours, and scheduled meetings with parents and students.
