What a Strong Candidate Would Look Like:
- R.E.A.P
Every staff member at LHC is encouraged to focus their attention on these four R.E.A.P. areas within their department. - Recruit – It is imperative that the new Family Pastor designs a volunteer-driven ministry structure that is scalable to grow with the church.
- Equip – The Family Pastor will need to continue the systems of development that equip and release volunteers into leadership.
- Assess – At Lake Hills Church, feedback is highly valued. This new leader will be tasked with continually assessing the ministries, staff, and volunteers to look for ways to continue to grow and improve.
- Pastor – The Family Pastor will provide pastoral care for the Kids and Youth Ministries staff and volunteers. It is important that this new leader feels comfortable being a vulnerable, relational, and authentic leader.
- EVANGELISTIC
All ministries and leaders at LHC need to be outward-faced and focused on reaching the community. The new leader should be outgoing and personable as he builds relationships at local schools and clubs and invests in families who are yet to call Lake Hills home. - STRONG FOUNDATION
The new leader should come in and build off of an already solid foundation but also know there are some great opportunities to enhance relationships, bring new energy, and develop the volunteers and staff even more. - SUCCESSION
The current NextGen Pastors will be transitioning in 2023 to pursue their calling to plant a church. Caleigh and Jordan McDaniel are well-loved and have had great success. With established leadership left behind, the new Family Pastor will need to earn the trust of staff and key volunteer leadership quickly. However, the church leadership is excited about a new day in Youth and Kids Ministries and desires to see the Ministries thrive.
