Since 2009, The Point Church in Charlottesville, Virginia, has been and continues to be a Jesus-driven, people-focused church, with a clear mission to LOVE GOD, LOVE PEOPLE, AND LOVE LIFE. This modern, Bible-centered, non-denominational body of believers is an ARC (Association of Related Churches) church and has been reaching 1300-1500 on a weekend, at two locations.

The Student Life Pastor/Director will lead and create engaging and exciting environments for middle school and high school students at the Charlottesville Campus. This position will also be responsible for developing a ministry model that leads students to Know God, Find Freedom, Discover Purpose, and Make a Difference in specific and strategic ways.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build a student life culture that attracts new students and families to the gospel and The Point
• Lead the creation of a safe, clean, and exciting Sunday/Wednesday environment for students.
• Work with the Campus Pastor in proactively equipping parents to be informed and involved in the spiritual formation of their students.
• Recruit, equip, resource, schedule, champion, and serve the amazing Charlottesville StudentLife Dream Team (volunteer leaders) in executing the ‘NextGen Playcard’ in all environments.
• Welcome first-time students and families in a way that clearly conveys The Point culture.
• Plan quarterly StudentLife events
• Collaborate with the REACH Director to develop student involvement in outreach opportunities.
• Grow a strong digital presence that meets and engages students safely.
• Provide a godly example to the Dream Team and students in a 24/7 lifestyle.

• Passionate and engaging leader with a clear calling for reaching Students
• Has a history of success leading a thriving and growing Student Ministry, with 3+ years of ministry leadership experience
• All in with their vision to Love God, Love People, and Love Life
• A relational leader who values clear communication, organization, and proactive planning
• Relational and caring, with a calling to reach people for Jesus, help them grow in their faith, and develop them as leaders
• Already living out The Point team culture (Humble, Hungry & Smart)
