Campus Pastor

Charter Oak Church is seeking a high-capacity leader who is passionate about the gospel and people to be the Campus Pastor of the newest campus in Southwestern Pennsylvania. The Campus Pastor will possess a multiplication mindset and understand the nuances that are inherent in building a new campus location. Under the leadership of the Lead Pastor, the successful candidate will offer pastoral leadership and ensure the church’s vision, convictions, culture, and systems are being reproduced.

Key Responsibilities:

• Model and reproduce the gospel-centered DNA of Charter Oak Church.
• Reach unbelievers in the community and develop small groups that disciple leaders who understand and replicate a multiplication mindset.
• As part of the Campus Pastor Team, the Campus Pastor will preach a weekly biblically-rooted message and provide oversight for the worship service at the local campus.
• Develop and lead a team of paid staff and volunteers who make ministry possible at the local campus.
• Build relationships with local leaders and organizations in the community to create a bridge for ministry and opportunities for partnership and outreach.

What a Strong Candidate Would Look Like:

• Wesleyan in Theology. A successful candidate must subscribe to historic Wesleyan (Arminianism) theology and be eligible for ordination in the Global Methodist Church.
• Egalitarian in Structure. Women are also joyfully ordained as elders and deacons and consecrated as bishops. The Global Methodist Church believes Scripture and Christian tradition bear witness to the importance of women and men sharing the responsibility and joy of serving the church as its leaders.
• Naturally Supernatural in Posture. Charter Oaks Church is open to all the gifts from the Holy Spirit and the next Campus Pastor must be a practitioner who uses his or her gifts for the edification and encouragement of the local church.
