- St. Andrew Baptist Church exists to lead people to know Christ and to become fully devoted followers of Him.

Staff Culture & Leadership
Shepherd
- Build relationships and minister to middle school, high school, and college students, their families, and the broader church body.
- Create opportunities for community and group bonding within the student ministry.
Lead
- Plan and coordinate a ministry that complements the vision of the church in the area of student ministry.
- Lead the process by which students are brought to the saving knowledge of Christ through evangelism.
- Lead discipleship through small groups, teaching the Word, and forming students in their faith.
- Lead students to engage in local, state, national, and international missions.
Steward
- Prepare and manage the Student Ministry budget.
- Coordinate curriculum for discipleship.
- Recruit, train, and develop volunteer workers.
- Lead weekly, monthly, and annual programming, including small groups, youth worship, fellowships, retreats, camps, and mission trips.
- Maintain clear lines of communication with students, parents, the pastoral team, and the congregation.
General
- Be an effective communicator, both publicly and interpersonally.
- Actively engage in outreach and set an example in member care.
- Provide short-term counseling and appropriate referrals for long-term needs.
- Serve on the ministerial leadership team and supervise interns.
Key Qualifications
- A mature, growing Christian with a clear and specific vocational call to student ministry in the local church.
- Bachelor’s degree required; seminary degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of hands-on student ministry leadership experience; 5+ years preferred.
- Demonstrated experience discipling students, developing volunteers, leading teams, and engaging parents.
- Strong communication skills in both public speaking and interpersonal relationships.
- Alignment with the Baptist Faith & Message 2000; Southern Baptist church context preferred.
- Not aligned with Reformed/Calvinist theology; SABC holds a high view of Scripture, gospel-centered ministry, and Spirit-led leadership.
- Experience in a multi-staff church context is a plus.
- A team-oriented leader with relational warmth, emotional maturity, and the ability to handle conflict well.
- A visionary with the ability to turn vision into action and bring others along in the process.
